Cabins with Hot Tubs

Shank Wood eco cabin now has a new addition of an outdoor bathroom pod to the back of the cabin equipped with a hot shower, toilet and sink to make your stay more comfortable.  Previous guests may remember facilities were provided by a peat toilet, however we have now upgraded the cabin to make it a little more comfortable!

The bathroom pod consists of a shower with hot running water, sink and a flushing loo.

We have designed the pod in keeping with the woodland and it is a very short distance from the cabin making it easy for guests to access.

There is a sink outside with running mains water and a BBQ on the veranda of the cabin.  Towels and bathrobes are provided along with toiletries.  Linen is also provided along with kitchen utensils and logs.  Fishing is free on the river Lyne and rods can be rented from Reception for £20.  Another new addition to the Shank Wood Log Cabin is the wood fired oven inside the cabin.  This come complete with a wood fired hob and oven to cook your wood fired pizzas or even roast a chicken.  The oven also acts as the main source of heating in the cabin and keeps it toasty warm.

We source all of our logs locally and recycle all rubbish from the Cabins with hot tubs.  The local areas renowned for its flora and fauna and has had various sightings of interesting wildlife.  Let us know what you see and we will record it!  There have been sightings of Deer, Kingfisher, Otters, Foxes, Badgers and much more.  Let us know if you catch a fish and we can record that too, we would love to see your photos if you have any.
