Pet Friendly Accommodation

Bring along your pets for FREE to our pet friendly accommodation. Let them enjoy the sites and smells of the nearby wood and riverside walks that we have to offer. Dogs are welcome to sleep in the cabin in the designated area. We also ask that dogs don’t go upstairs due to the nature of the cabin and for hygiene reasons.

The only other thing we ask is that they enjoy the surroundings supervised by you! Our pet friendly accommodation, will provide a soothing and relaxing holiday for your best friend and of course for you too. It can be difficult to find accommodation who allow dogs and we understand this as dog owners ourselves. There is a warm, cosy wood burner in the living area which we are sure your dog will love to sleep next to, in its bed.

There are pet friendly pubs in the area where you can take your dogs. The miles of walks along the riverside provide a great way to spend the day. We allow dogs in our cafe/reception area and serve food here Wednesdays to Sundays. Or why not try the Golden Fleece, Irthington where they serve fantastic food, with ingredients sourced from local suppliers. They do allow dogs in the bar area, and only a 15 minute drive from your cabin. Highly recommend by previous guests and ourselves. See their website for more information.

We provide pet friendly accommodation near to the Lake District. There are actives in the area where you can take your dog. For example, Honister Slate Mine near Keswick is the last working slate mine in England. It has fully guided mine tours and enjoy home-cooked food in the Yewtree pub and restaurant. Or why not just take your dog to the Lake District and enjoy one of the many fell walks it has to offer. The Lake District website provides lots of information on walks & activities in the area.

 

Dogs need a holiday too. As a nation of dog lovers, it is only natural that they would come along with you!
